Martha Anderson Presidential Sportsmanship Award

To be
awarded annually to the member voted 'Best Sportsman' by fellow
members for Sportsmanship exhibited during the preceding club year.
This award is established in the name of ULRA's first President, Marti
Anderson.
Award:
1. Recipient will earn $50 credit toward entries at Club events
during the current year.
2. A plaque, trophy or similar item may be donated or designated for
the recipient to hold in their possession for the year. It must be
relinquished to the Club at the next Annual Meeting following its
award to a member.
Rules:
1. No nominations are to be taken.
2. Each paid member for the preceding year is given the opportunity
during the Annual General Meeting to write on a secret ballot the name
of the member they believe best exemplifies the Principles of
Sportsmanship.
3. Ballots will be counted, and the winner will be announced.
4. No proxy voting and no absentee voting is allowed. Only members in
good standing during the year the award covers are allowed to vote.
Voting is only conducted during the Annual Meeting.
5. Ties can be allowed by direction of the BOD, who will determine how
the monetary award is divided (or multiplied). If the BOD decides NOT
to allow ties, then they must decide how a tie will be broken.
6. BOD may alter the monetary amount from year to year as it sees fit.
